Alliance, Ohio, August 23, 2011 – Novosoft, an international software development company, declared Handy Backup utility capable of performing backup, synchronization, and recovery of a number of popular 64-bit server platforms, including MS SQL servers. Due to its powerful features and user-friendly interface, Handy Backup can be considered as an efficient and reliable MS SQL 64-bit backup software.
According to Alexander Prichalov, the head of Novosoft Development Department, Handy Backup has all possible data backup features that can be required by MS SQL server administrators. Nevertheless, Handy Backup is constantly and quickly being developed to meet more and more demands. One of the newest improvements is the ability to support 64-bit server platforms.
Though Handy Backup is originally designed for 32-bit platforms, the utility now features functionality to back up and restore 64-bit server platforms and applications.
Handy Backup Workstation x64 has three 64-bit backup plug-ins included:
MS Exchange x64, that enables to back up 64-bit editions of MS Exchange 2010, 2007, and 2003;
MSSQL x64, that makes Handy Backup an automated MS SQL Backup Software for MS SQL Server backup, editions 2008, 2005, 2000;
File System x64, for backup of files and folders; .
To activate the 64-bit MS SQL backup software, one need to install Workstation x64 in addition to the Handy Backup application. The workstation enables both local and network backup.
For local backup of 64-bit applications, one needs to install Workstation x64 over Handy Backup on the same computer.
For network backup of 64-bit applications, one needs to install Workstation x64 on a remote computer. The workstation is to be configured accordingly with traditional Backup Network Workstation policy.
The number of extra workstations to be added is not limited.
